URBANSCREEN is an internationally active design-studio for cross-disciplinary media installations. As early pioneers of projection mapping, we’ve been both witnessing and influencing the development of innovative technology-enhanced communication in the fields of artistic production, brand experience and interior installation for more than 13 years. We work with curators, corporate-clients and agencies and combine a high degree of technical expertise with plenty of enthusiasm and a genuinely open mind. Our creative studio unites professionals from the fields of media art, 3D-design, architecture, cultural studies, sound design and management. With our multi award-winning works, we create unforgettable experiences for audiences all over the globe.

Art Production

URBANSCREEN was founded as an artist collective in 2005. Driven by a deep fascination for the potential technology holds for cross-disciplinary artistic expression, we started to explore projection mapping as a tool to change the way we experience our environment. Our productions are shown in international festival- and exhibition contexts and have been awarded with several prizes. While URBANSCREEN’s professionalisation and growth have led us into exciting new directions over the years, we protect our artisic spirit as an elixir for ongoing innovation and creativity.

Brand Experience

More than ever today, audiences demand meaningful and authentic experiences rather than off-the-shelf entertainment. Thanks to our origin as a free artist collective, we offer a rather unconventional perspective on brand communication. With our experimental approach, we create unique shared experiences that blur the lines between virtual and material reality. Our productions combine innovative multimedia-storytelling, immersive sensory impressions and cutting-edge technology to design memorable brand events and -spaces.

Interior Installation

From delicate light sculptures to object-specific narratives – with our interior installation projects, we explore the revolutionary potential of projection mapping for interior design and spatial communication. By seamlessly connecting virtual and material design elements, we create multifaceted, dynamic objects that permanently augment hospitality-, retail- and public environments. Our integrative design approach builds on an intensive examination of the given spatial and contextual circumstances and a continuous dialogue with our clients.
