For the newly built visitor centre at the Edertalsperre, Hessen, we developed a permanent, immersive exhibition that traced a particularly eventful history in 9 chapters.
Our 16-minute show begins with the time of the construction of the Edertalsperre in the 19th century. The dramaturgical climax is the attack on the Edertalsperre in the Second World War, during which it was severely damaged and several of the surrounding villages were flooded. The production ends in the present and shows the magnificent area around the historic site.
Our aim was not to create a mere slide show, but to really give the visitors a unique visual and sensory experience. To achieve this, we recreated the actual atmosphere of the cavern power station hundreds of metres underground, both visually and acoustically. We also developed effects that can recreate the power of the water masses.
During the 16-minute projection, visitors are invited to walk through the room and really immerse themselves in the storytelling. In this exhibition, active participation is encouraged, as in every corner a different detail can be seen and heard.
The soundtrack plays a special role in our production, as we developed an audio script and worked with various voice actors who brought the history of the Edertalsperre to life.
A very special thank you goes to Uli Klein✝ for his outstanding expertise and trust in us! It was an incredibly enjoyable collaboration, and we will keep you in our hearts!
